Our Team

Ben Nourse

Ben is co-owner of Borrego Outfitters and the entrepreneur of the group. Before moving to Borrego and opening Borrego Outfitters, Ben was CEO of GreatFood.com, Inc., a successful Internet-based gourmet food retailer.

 “I like being able to buy all this cool stuff at my own store,” Ben says. “The things we sell are things I’m personally proud to use or have in my home, so I have no problem recommending them to our customers.” 

Donna Nourse

Donna is co-owner of Borrego Outfitters, and is our style guru and resident “foodie”. Donna worked with Ben at GreatFood.com, and comes from a long career in retail and management. 

“When you own a retail business, life is one big shopping trip”, says Donna. “I love discovering neat new products to introduce our customers to!”

Heather Elliot 

Heather comes from a background in the restaurant industry in San Diego, prior to moving to Borrego and joining Borrego Outfitters. 

“I like the personal relationship you develop with the customers of Borrego Outfitters,” says Heather.

Corie Loera

Corie is a long-time Borrego resident and recent graduate of Warner Springs High School. 

“It’s fun to work at what everyone says is the nicest store in Borrego,” says Corie.  “I think it’s really a cool place!”

Our Official Greeter

Max is a Bichon Frise/Pomeranian mix who often assists at our checkout counter.

"Hanging around Borrego Outfitters is a lot more fun than staying home all day," says Max. "I especially like it when kids come in the store."
